The 2015 Conference of the Society for Medieval Archaeology will take place December 4-6, 2015. The Preston City campus of the University of Central Lancashire will serve as the host venue with the conference events taking place in the Foster Building. Attendees will explore the conference theme “Being Medieval: Archaeology, Society and the Human Experience.” Keynote speakers will include Dr. Sarah Semple, who will be speaking about the Early Medieval times, and Professor Charlotte Roberts, who will be speaking about the Medieval times. Both speakers teach at the University of Durham. These and other speakers Speakers will address the issues of recognizing the experiential, the nature of society, inclusion, exclusion and transformation.  The conference will also look at what archaeology can tell people about economic or social changes, difference, life experience, expectation, life course or desires and disability.
