The Northwestern Louisiana Archaeological Society will hold a re-organizational meeting on Thursday, September 15. The event will take place from 7-8PM at the Broadmoor Library’s Study Room A in Shreveport.
The purpose of the meeting is to re-establish the NWLAS chapter as a viable community resource and a tool to educate the public about Louisiana’s rich cultural heritage. The group plans to meet every other month at a public venue. The group will also put on programs that will consist of expert and advocational archaeologists presenting topics that span the prehistory and history of NW Louisiana. Field trips will also be scheduled once a quarter to sites within a short driving distance.
