36th Annual Statewide Preservation Conference
About the 2014 Conference
The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation has opened registration for its 2014 annual conference, the 36th annual conference of the organization. The 2014 conference will take place in Tampa, Florida (May 15-17, 2014), and will feature workshops, local tours, and special events in the bustling downtown, Ybor City, and historic buildings and neighborhoods that define the Tampa Bay region.
The conference, titled Minarets to Mid-Century Modern: Preservation in Tampa Bay, will be held May 15-17, 2014. The conference is the largest conference ever offered by the Florida Trust, with more workshops, mobile workshops and tours than any previous annual conference.
Noted author, academic and PBS “History Detectives” television personality Gwen Wright will deliver the keynote address on Thursday, May 15, at the annual meeting luncheon.
Winners of the 2014 Preservation Awards, along with the prestigious Evelyn Fortune Bartlett and Carl Weinhardt Awards, will be named in the Awards Ceremony on Friday evening.
