The Association for Preservation Technology International is accepting abstracts for its 2009 Conference in Los Angeles, California, USA.

NCPTT’s Sarah Jackson along with colleagues Mary Striegel and Tye Botting were awarded the Oliver Torrey Fuller Award for their article, “Durability of Traditional and Modified Limewash.”

The Association for Preservation Technology International has announced its first off-shore conference, entitled Old World Technologies: Adapting in the New World.

A report on NCPTT’s research, entitled “Durability of Traditional and Modified Limewashes,” by Sarah M. Jackson and Mary F. Striegel, has been accepted by the APT Bulletin for publication in its Summer 2007 issue.

David Morgan, NCPTT archeology and collections chief, presented a paper at the Society of American Archeologists (SAA) annual meeting on burials excavated from Jackson Barracks in New Orleans.

On April 26th, one day in advance of the Society for American Archaeology meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, NCPTT hosted the second meeting of the Archeological Preservation Technology Research Consortium.
