NCPTT will hold a half-day course for art conservators and preservationists scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 in Los Angeles.  The workshop will be held in conjunction with the American Institute for Conservation Annual meeting.  Attendees will learn the theory of eddy current analysis and will assemble a low-cost, working portable eddy current tester that can be used to identify metals, measure the thickness of corrosion, and recover serial numbers and/or images beneath corrosion.
